Bike in the Park
Bike Trails weave throughout the park. To the north, follow the old Stagecoach Trail up through high dessert terrain. East and west of the park, bike trails wind through woods and open spaces with awesome views of the San Juan Mountains.
For family fun, no matter what kind of bike you have, take the path along the Uncompaghre River, which follows the old railroad grade. Pedal north to the Ridgway State Park, or south, and across the railroad bridge, to the Town of Ridgway. The path is family-friendly.
If you want to park your bike while exploring the park, lock up at the sculptural bike rack near the eagle.

Directions to the Park: approximately 1.5 miles north of Ridgway, turn west at RiverSage Drive. Follow the road down and cross the bridge. Park in the lot on the right. R.V. turn-around available. The entrance to the park is marked by a sign “Dennis Weaver Memorial Park,” but you will see the Eagle as you cross the bridge.
